Nashville psych wunderkinds The Paperhead recorded and released their psychedelic 2011 self-titled debut LP nugget on Trouble In Mind Records before all three 18 year old band members left for college. It's a layered and orchestrated psych LP full of sitar and farfisa and channels their Syd Barrett and post LSD Beatles influences on their sleeves. The
band followed up the LP with a 7" single last year, also from TIM, that furthers the swirly eastern groovy influence in the vein of White Fence and Spacemen 3 that clearly showcases the improvement/growth of their songwriting and technical abilities. Any fan of this classic sound is sure to be intrigued to follow along the path of these talented youngsters. Listen to 'Pictures Of Her Demise', which is the more upbeat A-side from last year's single, and 'Can't Keep My Eyes Open' off the 2011 self-titled LP.
